has discovered around fifty varieties of butterflies
in Las Cuevas. To capture specimens, she uses a
net (shown being repaired at left) with an opening
at the bottom and a small platform, on which she
places rotten fruit as bait (right). The net trap
works because a butterflys response when startled
                              is to fly upward.
